A brief history review
Rainbow Baby was established in February 2000 as an online Internet based business offering only one product, the Safeline Kids (now Triple Play Products) Sit n Stroll combination
car seat and stroller. The web site domain name
www.RainbowBaby.com was activated, a secure online shopping card was established and orders started to be received from around the globe. Merchandise was stored in a home garage along with the server hosting the web site. Over the next few years, additional products were added and the popularity of Rainbow Baby grew. At the time, Rainbow Baby was one of Safeline Kids largest distributors of Sit n Stroll strollers.
Finally it came to a point this business could no longer operate from a home and the decision was made to open a retail location which could also serve as a warehouse and distribution center for the online business. The Rainbow Baby retail store was established in 2003 located in Torrance, California.
Although the retail store concept was extremely well received by our customers, it became apparent the selection for the store location was not appropriate to receive much needed foot traffic to sustain the rent and other expenses. Our online retail sales continued to increase while the store lease and expenses carved away at our overall profits. As they say, what makes a business successful is location, location, location. Unfortunately the store was located in a shopping center which was difficult for customers to find and to get to. Faced with a difficult decision whether to continue to stay at this location or move on, regrettably we opted to close the retail store. In addition the leasing company was selling the shopping center and a significant increase in rent was pending. We relocate to a warehouse/showroom location which also allowed for walk-in pickup of merchandise from our loyal store customers and also for local Internet shoppers to stop by and save on shipping costs.
Why we are selling
Due to time restraints and our needed attention to other business opportunities which are also growing, the owners of Rainbow Baby and RB Kids combined both web sites as one, and now have regretfully decided to offer the entire business model for sale. This includes the online operation and domain names for Rainbow
Baby and RB Kids, all retail fixtures to establish a turnkey retail location, remaining merchandise on hand at the time of the sale, signage, blueprints of the store design concept, POS system, consulting from the original owners, and so much more.
Rainbow Baby and RB Kids dba’s are registered in the County of Los Angeles, are privately owned and debt free. New owners will have rights and ownership of all existing assets related to the three business entities as well as established domain names, logo, signage, and much more.
